A-TEC NEW ZEALAND

THE NEW STANDARD IN PRS HYBRID SUPPRESSORS

A-TEC PRS is a hybrid silencer/muzzle brake that combines the advantages of a full body silencer with a muzzle brake in one compact solution. All stainless steel construction and cerakote surface treatment ensures that it can handle the toughest usage and harshest conditions.

The muzzle brake on the suppressor provides remarkably reduced muzzle lift and felt recoil. This enables you to remain on target during the shot ready to see your impact or place a follow up shot.

Not modular, cannot remove modules.

This is on special because we have the GenII version available.

MOUNTING THE A-TEC PRS GEN1

Do a dry run of the below steps before adding thread lock. Especially regarding the timing of the brake.

  1. Place the rifle in a vice.
  2. Thoroughly clean and degrease all components and threads.
  3. Screw the stainless steel thread adaptor all the way into the suppressor, and one full turn out again. The thread adaptor has the small unthreaded section inserted first. When running through this the second time, after applying thread locker, wipe off any excess thread locker here.
  4. Screw on and torque up the black contra nut against the rear shoulder of the suppressor with the supplied wrench. For barrels with larger diameter than 23mm at the shoulder: Ensure the rear face of the steel thread adaptor is slightly proud of the black contra nut, one thread is enough. This is so the barrel thread shoulder meets the adaptor surface and not the contra nut.
  5. Now screw the suppressor with the thread adaptor and contra nut on to the rifle muzzle thread.
  6. Grasp the suppressor and apply torque to the suppressor by hand so that the thread adaptor is tight on the muzzle thread shoulder. We are using the suppressor locked on by the contra nut to get the thread adaptor torqued up on the muzzle thread shoulder.
  7. Grasp the suppressor and loosen only the contra nut with the wrench without loosening the thread adaptor on the muzzle thread.
  8. Adjust the suppressor rotation so the brake gas ports are directed horizontal. Try screwing on further first. If you hit the stop before achieving level, unscrew until level.
  9. Reapply torque to the contra nut while grasping the suppressor to lock it in the level position.
  10. Now disassemble, apply thread locker to the internal thread of the suppressor to secure the adaptor into the suppressor when it cures. Do the above steps again to permanently attach. Use Loctite 638 or equivalent.
  11. Let the thread locker set before attempting detachment from the rifle.
